FAQs

What’s the food and beverage situation?
The bar will serve up all the mint juleps your heart could desire.  There will also be non-alcoholic juleps and a selection of soft drinks.  We strive to satisfy everyone’s palate.  If you have allergies or other dietary restrictions, feel free to email tamar@tamarwestphalevents.com and we’ll do our best to accommodate your needs.

Attire:
Whatever makes you feel dashing and dazzling.  Hats, bow ties, and vintage finds encouraged.

Post time:
6:34pm EST / 5:34pm CST

Transportation and parking:
The Donohue Annex is located just steps from the Harrison red line stop (exit at Polk St.) and is accessible via several CTA bus routes.  There is metered street parking and a paid lot just north of the building on Dearborn.

Accessibility:
There is an elevator, but the space is unfortunately not wheelchair accessible.  There is one step to get into the building and two low steps to access the bathrooms.  There will also be a large, friendly, hypoallergenic dog (she loves people and is great with kids).

May I bring my kids?
Yes!  Children under 5 get in free; youth ages 5-20 receive discounted admission.  There won’t be a designated kids’ area or childcare, but kids are welcome to join the party.

Note: Betting has been modified to comply with IL law.
